Description

Randall #1-6 "Fighting Knife"
6" Tool Steel Blade
Double Brass Guard
Stacked Leather Handle
Duralumin Butt Cap + Nut
Brown Button Heiser Sheath
Used 2 Piece Norton Stone
Generic Knife Carry Case

Summary: this is an early Randall model 1 outfitted as follows: 6" tool steel blade with deep choil and crisp stamp, double brass guard, 5 spacers, stacked leather handle and duralumin butt cap with nut. Used sparingly if at all, the blade with light insertion marks on the back side. Grind lines visible, hard to tell if it’s been cleaned up. Sheath storage marks on the guard will probably require a buffer to remove, handling marks on the dura butt. This is one that would do well with a “shop done” spa treatment, for about $100 round trip I’m sure they could clean up this knife and have it looking nearly new.

The brown button Heiser sheath is in excellent condition with no significant blemishes. You will find handling marks on both sides, all relatively minor considering the age. The snaps function properly, all the stitching is solid with no fraying. The sheath is stamped 1-6 below the Randall trademark on the back belt loop, a used 2 piece Norton “box” sharpening stone in the front pouch. (but I doubt it was used on this knife)

7 photos for review -- as shown, a new black canvas carry case is included. This is a good buy on this older Randall #1-6 and Heiser brown button sheath, it would be a very nice addition to most any fighting knife collection. Check it out.... thanks and good luck.
